Restoration Process & Time

Restoring your classic car can take several years. The term frame off restoration means that your car is totally disassembled down to the bare frame and all the parts are clean restored or replaced, painted or powdered coated and reinstalled.

Restoration is a long term committment. It is a very expensive undertaking and we recommend that you consider a project of this nature very seriously. To enjoy this type of undertaking, you should have an understanding of how cars are built. If you do understand the inner workings of how cars are build then you may become less focused on the project and overpowered by the total expense.

You will find that you can buy a car already restored or partially restored for much less than it will cost to restore your car.

Our customers that decide to restore their car usually have a history with their car. They have either owned it since it was new, been in the family for a long time, or simply have an emotional attachment to it.  The car means to more to them to rebuilt rather than buy a similiar vehicle.

We only give estimates and quite frankly you should expect to pay more than the estimate. We inspect every part of your car and recondition as we reassemble.   It is not possible to anticipate everything that will need to be replaced or repaired. Rust repair and fabrication of metal can increase your starting estimate by 40%. Custom work will add another 20%.

Be sure this is something you can afford and is an area of interest to you so that you will enjoy watching  your car come back to life.
